Appearance: Commentators headings

The Appearance column is one of the oldest and most discussed at Life around: here in the comments there are wars due to natural fur and battles due to derby worn on bare feet. As an exception, we took pictures of four regular readers and asked to tell us what they did not like in the section and what they would like to change in it, but at the same time showed how they would look if they were invited.

About own appearance

The most important thing that I’m wearing is a bracelet. Of course, on Life around all the time they write in the comments: "Oh, again, these flea markets!" “But I really bought it at a market in Vienna.” It was worth by the standards of big money there - fifteen euros, I bargained for seven. I like that it heats up when you wear it. I bought a dress the other day at Metropolis in some new small shop. It is with an asymmetric sleeve, it can be worn with and without a belt.

I had a period when I collected all the things and got rid of them in one fell swoop, and then I began to buy new ones. I am always looking for something specific: for example, now I want to buy a dress-shirt. In Moscow I go to Tsvetnoy, Twins Shop and UK Style. Most often I buy something in Vienna, although this is not a very popular city for shopping - I used to live there, now I go to my friends. I also love online shopping. I order shoes at Shoescribe - I have the standard 38th size, everything is always suitable, but I bought this pair in Moscow Topshop. I have commonplace claims to metropolitan stores: prices and assortment. When I was in Suzdal last year, I went around all the local shops in search of a regular swimsuit without rhinestones and ruffles. Sometimes it seems that in Moscow the situation is about the same: something simple and well-cut from good fabric is either impossible to buy, or it costs from twenty thousand.

I don’t remember when I started reading Life around, from a year to two and a half years ago. In general, I like your site: all topics are catchy. But tired of the eternal squabble between Muscovites and non-Muscovites. I’m still terribly enraged by the comments on the Housing Question heading: I make repairs myself and constantly read it, but someone always comes and says, “This is shit.” I would like to find it and give it to his forehead: you either say what’s wrong, or be silent.

"Appearance" I read often. It seems to me that you sometimes have overlaps, it turns out right freak-freak. Although this may be a necessity in terms of content. You managed to create an oasis of minimalism in Moscow. Even when you shoot people dressed brightly, it is always tasteful, without “louboutin” and dumped boobs. I rarely leave comments, only if I got enraged by someone who attacks the hero for no reason. You had a graduation, where the girl put on her fur mittens, and because of them, everyone attacked her. I felt sorry for her. And the second time, someone said that the girl’s legs are crooked, although everything was fine with her legs. Here in such cases I answer.

About own appearance

I am wearing shorts, a T-shirt and slippers. Cool T-shirt with Corvax, because he is smart, like me. It seems to have taken her from his brother. I bought slippers in Gravity - I just had an extra thousand rubles; the snowboard belt "686" is also from there. Shorts are very comfortable because they have many pockets. I buy things only in case of emergency. Since I live in the center, I am going to Afimall. Shopping centers are, in my opinion, a cool thing. You can eat ice cream there. I have a limited amount of energy for shopping: I go in, look and, if I see nothing, I leave.

I have a friend, Vova from Physika, now he has a crusade for fashion, and I don’t have any problems with the state of Moscow stores. If you are not in the know, that is, the Internet, they say that you can buy anything at all. Sometimes I order T-shirts on the cool site 80stees.com, they can be bought there for a dollar. In my opinion, there is no point in ordering any others: until the T-shirt reaches Moscow, it will cost indecent money. I move around the world with my girlfriend, and we both do not out of cult things, fly with limited luggage and especially do not buy anything. The last time he brought from London a hooligan cap of the 1930s. I bought it in Soho from some Indians.

I periodically unsubscribe from you on Facebook. I don’t know what is to blame: the quality of your materials or the secret Facebook algorithms. In my opinion, sometimes you have a little one-sided, such a girlish look at things. But do not be discouraged. There is W-O-S, for example, in which the puberty has not ended. Recently, thanks to my friend, I visited the Moscow Food Market, so your audience can be described as follows: everyone was so smart, caramelized, ate burgers, drank smoothies, juggled with falafel. I eat in other places: on Novy Arbat, for example, in the "Zyu-cafe" they feed normally, cool Chinese cook there. I also was by chance today in “Jamon and Wine” on Chistye Prudy, where the colorful Spaniard made me very tasty sandwiches with seafood.

It would be great if you published more interesting long reads, as on Medium. You can come up with a bunch of topics. In the column "Appearance" I generally accidentally wandered - and was terrified. Not that I was outraged, but I again saw this City Food Market there. In my opinion, you always have such a “juggling falafel” city dweller in this section. I’m leaving comments not so often: our sofa troops work fine without me.

About own appearance

About the red pants from Zara, in general, there is nothing, because these are just red pants from Zara. Top bought in Sri Lanka in one of the stores. In Moscow, I probably would have passed by, but among the pink and purple blouses with elephants, flowers and sparkles, he caught his eye, and I decided to buy it. As a result, the things that I brought were very different from what people usually bring from Sri Lanka - everything was black and gray for me. I bought a necklace in Monoprix in Paris, a ring from a flea market in Amsterdam, it cost a euro or even less. Shoes Paolo Conte - in fact, just black shoes. And the frame - from ordinary optics, which are in pharmacies.

I really love to just go shopping, starting from some discount center near the house and ending with GUM, TSUM and Tsvetnoy. But most often I go to the mass market. In the showrooms you attract attention, and you can go to Zara for several hours - and no one will pay attention to you. For me it is a pleasure - to consider, feel, try on everything. Therefore, I do not buy anything in online stores. Once, however, I bought something in the LiveJournal community. Unlike European stores, clothes in Moscow are monotonous. In Amsterdam and Paris in two neighboring stores you can find very diverse things, but here there is none.

I read Life around five years, maybe four years. I love to watch life in the city, I like that the site pays attention to everything: both the events and the people who live here. The only thing I would increase the section on culture - cinema, literature. Sometimes I want to read about what's going on in theaters, about some exhibitions. It seems to me that there should be more such information.

I never miss outlets in the Style section and stories about my favorite institution. “Appearance” I like exactly in the state in which it is now. You will not come up to the person on the street and will not ask him where and what he bought, but here you have the opportunity to ask about it. I always start reading a text, but whether I read it or not depends on the person. I leave comments only if a question arises or if some unusual comparison occurred to me. Usually I write just like / dislike. Someone always writes that something is wrong. But it normal.

About own appearance

I am wearing a Caliban shirt - most of all I love just this company, because its size range suits me. A belt is a gift from an old friend, it makes no sense to talk about jeans. The bag, in my opinion, should be proud of: it is of Russian manufacture, and the quality is very good. Tod's shoes are one hundred percent fit my taste: I love classic shoes and classic things. It has always been our family tradition that they go to training in sportswear, go on extreme trips with backpacks, and if you want to walk around the city, you can choose moccasins, loafers, boat shoes, and so on.

All my relatives are somehow related to the purchase and sale of clothes, so it’s much easier for me to buy something in Moscow than many. I know that I can, for example, come to my mom's Cortile store, which she does with my sister, and buy something there: the assortment almost completely suits my taste. Second place is the Firmato & Scontato multi-brand store near my house, which sells mostly Italian clothing. If I do not find anything in either the first or second store, then you can ask friends or relatives to bring the right thing, because someone is always abroad. I don’t go to the mass market and generally try not to visit shopping centers: there are a lot of people there, and I'm not a fan of this. Of course, I like to buy in Europe - we often go there by car and stop in stores along the way. I do not like Milan, which for some reason is considered a shopping mecca. In my opinion, it’s just dirty and crowded. And I did not work out with online stores - in this regard I am a retrograde. In general, stores in Moscow are normal. The big question is whether the goods will be genuine, but they are faced with fakes both in England and in Europe.

I’ve been reading Life around for two or three years: they gave me one link to the article, another - and I could not remain indifferent. My character did not allow me to not comment on something that I did not like. Now I am shorting the time on the site when there is not much work. I think it’s not annoying me alone that you can’t edit your comments. Often I write from the phone, iOS edits something, I have to write again. Also, it seems to me that your mobile version is not very finalized. But I like your variegated content: these are topical topics, and stories about interesting bars, cafes, restaurants and so on. "Appearance" I read so far as. As a lover of extreme sports, I liked the article about Yura Podladchikov, for example. And the text is much more important to me than photographs. But I do not always comment. I think the comments on your site fully reflect your diverse audience. As they say, sometimes they deliver more than the article itself.

I really like giving advice. Sometimes they ask me about it, but more often than not it just seems to me. Which does not stop me from giving advice to everyone and always at every opportunity. I think in old age, in addition to walking farting and crunching bones, I will constantly share the acquired wisdom, thanks to which I will become monstrously lonely.

"ART is ART is ART" in MMSI

In major European museums it is customary to change the exposure once a year. MMSI, the first Russian state museum to carefully collect art objects of the XX-XXI centuries, also follows this tradition. His collection totals about 10 thousand works that should not gather dust in storage. In addition, the collection is constantly growing.
