In 2017, the Beat Film Festival, the international festival of documentary films about a new culture, will conduct thematic programs for the first time together with other cultural organizations and experts. The organizers of the event spoke about this around Life.
Among the partners of the festival are the Garage Museum of Modern Art, the Strelka Institute of Media, Design and Architecture and the Afisha Daily online edition, as well as journalists Yuri Saprykin and Alexander Gorbachev.
In the author’s program “Trips Out of the City” by Yuri Saprykin, all films will be devoted to travel, and in the program “Consequences of Media” by Alexander Gorbachev, how information technologies have changed people's lives. Strelka has collected films about urbanism, architecture and people who have changed the face of cities, and Garage - films shot by contemporary artists, including art. The program "Night Animals" from the "Poster Daily" will show documentary stories about electronic music, rave culture and its heroes.
The Beat Film Festival 2017 will be shown from May 25 to June 4 at the Documentary Film Center, Karo 11 October Cinema, Garage Museum of Modern Art, in the courtyard of the Strelka Institute, the Multimedia Art Museum, the Pioneer and the Museum.
